CES: OnePlus6 Coming this July 2018

OnePlus6 this July’18 coming with Snapdragon845 Chipset

OnePlus is in a relatively unique position that allows it to talk about future plans without bringing too much disruption to its short-term business.oneplus6

After many rumors that the new OnePlus 6 will launch soon, now  CEO Pete Lau officially has confirmed it’ll indeed reach the market in the second quarter of 2018 i.e. till July.

For Rs 32,999, the OnePlus 5T has many features that rival Android brands like Samsung, LG, or Google which also charge a lot more for. Having said that, there are certain omissions the OnePlus makes, presumably to keep the costs down.

With every generation, we’ve seen the company fill the gaps between its products and the competition. With the OnePlus 5T, it was the tall aspect-ratio display, the OnePlus 5 added the dual-camera setup, while the OnePlus 3 was built using aluminum, etc.

Looking at what the competition offers, and things that consumers think should be an absolute must in a flagship, it is not hard to deduce what the OnePlus 6 or even the OnePlus 6T after it will be. Plus, the company also openly talks about what features it wants to keep, and what it would rather not implement today, making it easier

The schedule fits as it’s around the same time last year the OnePlus 5 was launched.

OnePlus 6 will feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, the latest SoC from the company announced back in December. However, it’s still unsure whether the company will imitate last year’s launch schedule and release a OnePlus 6T soon after, despite that being the case over the last two years, “Lau said.

OnePlus 6 coming, but that’s not going to stop sales of the OnePlus 5T. OnePlus is looking to expand this year both through growth in online sales and with the accelerating power of carrier support. That is going to diminish the effectiveness of the six months tick-tocks strategy, but for the moment, the OnePlus community insulates the company from the Osborne Effect.
